A Summertime Past House & Garden Tour – Historic Saint Louis

Admission: Adults $5 cash at door; 12 and under FREE.

Handicap Accessible: Yes 1st Floor

Mudd’s Grove, a magnificent 7,000 square foot red brick mansion, stands as a beacon of Kirkwood’s past. This architectural marvel, one of the largest Greek Revival houses in St. Louis County, invites you on a captivating journey through time. Immerse yourself in the meticulously restored interiors, a testament to 19th-century living. Enter the Research Library to learn about Kirkwood’s rich history. Explore the exhibit on Kirkwood’s Black history. Stroll the thoughtfully designed gardens, a haven of tranquility.

Please note:  There will be an “In the Mudd” Garden Talk from 10-11.

Start your day at Mudd’s Grove with  Butterflies in Your Backyard: Learn from a Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House expert how to attract beautiful butterflies with the perfect plants. Discover: Nectar buffets to fuel fluttering friends, Caterpillar condos for raising the next generation and  Native Missouri favorites to create a pollinator paradise. Free; donations appreciated.
