Our speaker Mike Loynd is the chair the St. Louis Olympic Legacy Committee, a representative on the IOC’s World Union of Olympic Cities, a member of the International Society of Olympic Historians, a board member of the St. Louis Sports Commission, and an attorney (graduate of Wash U Law School).
Mike is published in the Business Journal and the Amazon Best Seller, All Things Irish, and an upcoming book about the Father of U.S. Swimming—Charles M. Daniels (1904 Olympian).
The St. Louis Olympic Legacy Committee, which includes Bob Costas and Jackie Joyner-Kersee, was instrumental in bringing the Olympic Rings spectacular to Washington University and continues to work with the IOC and USOC to strengthen St. Louis’ legacy as America’s first Olympic city and birthplace of the gold medal, among its many other important contributions towards the Olympic movement.
